Midnight Taxi is about picking up passengers and taking them to their destination. Throughout the journey, you will experience weird, spooky, and surprising things. You also have a conversation with the passenger NPC; your decisions and responses will affect the outcome of the conversation and ultimately affect the ending scene. The game is set in America, follows the theme of PS1, and has a low-poly art style.
I contributed to the project by creating the dialogue system; this is the key feature of the game, as the entire conversation is built using the dialogue system. I also created MetaSound and set them up in the blueprint to play smooth driving SFX for things like cars moving, stopping, and at what speed the SFX should be played. Finally, I also worked on the interaction system for the game; this allows the player to interact with specific things in the game, such as opening doors, turning on or off the radio, and so on.
